They fit my head!Sep 20, 2011
By William D. Colburn
"buys things on amazon far too often"
My biggest problem with sunglasses is the funny shape of my head. My head routinely snaps the other brands of sunglasses I've tried. But my first pair of Smiths lasted over a year! A lens broke during yoga class when I left them sitting on the bench at the door, so I have no idea what happened to them. Regardless of their demise, I'm enthusiastically happy with them, and after buying a new pair I have taken to leaving them in my car while I go in to yoga. I also plan to get my old pair fixed, since Smith stands behind them and will do so.
The lenses are made of glass, and it has proven to be exceptionally scratch resistant. Glasses with plastic lenses, even expensive plastic lenses, never lasted more six months for me before the view through them was always cloudy. No such problem with the Smiths. And, as I said, the frames didn't break and neither of the two arms fell off, a distinct improvement over every other brand I've tried. You might still have such a problem if your head is worse than mine, but people with better heads should have no problems at all.
So, overall a great pair of glasses. Their only downside is what happens to them when you leave them unattended during yoga, so just avoid that and you should be good. Not the yoga, don't avoid yoga, just avoid leaving your glasses unattended.
Big enough!May 04, 2011
By Jason Steiner I have a rather large head (7 5/8", 61 metric, XL hat sizes) and have a hard time trying to find glasses that fit. These fit, and fit perfectly. And I didn't have to give compromise on technology. The polarchromic lenses are great for varying light conditions, particularly sundown in the mountains when you can be looking into the sun one minute, and in shadow the next. Coverage is also excellent, with no gap along the sides. They would make good safety glasses, and in fact I liked these so much I also bought the tactical version with clear impact-resistant lenses and plain black frame for use at the shooting range.

By K not as dark as i had hoped. also i thought polarized lenses would cut glare better.
they fog up when used exercising.
otherwise, they seem to be good quality.
