5Fantastic sunglasses!Jun 13, 2008
By Dave
It has been too long since I had a good quality pair of sunglasses. After buying this pair I remembered how much better I could see with well made, glass lenses. I have owned Serengetis in the past, and these are better than my last pair. They are a bit larger in diameter and look more fashionable as a result. The frames are well made with good hinges and springs to the temples that allow them to flex to fit your face. The are a bit heavier on the face than a pair of polycarbonate lenses, but you can tell the difference immediately. Colors are brighter and clearer. I also like the gradient feature while driving. Inside the car is clear and less shaded when looking down while they are darker at the middle and top of the lenses to protect even more from the bright sunlight.

I am very impressed with the performance of the Serengeti Velocity Drivers. I have worn nothing else for the last 10 years and have found no reason to switch.

5Top Quality SerengetisOct 27, 2009

Exactly as I expected. The fit, finish, and lens quality sets the standard. As an airline pilot, the non-polarized gradient lens allows clear visibility inside and excellent shading.

I like the look and the lenses are clear and crisp. Not so sure that they get darker in full sun but they are darker at the top of the lens. I am undecided on the metal bar that connects the lenses above the nose piece. It looks a bit "old" and shouldn't be needed. I didn't see it in the photos when I made the purchase. Good quality driving glasses, for a price.

5Great SunglassesOct 23, 2010

This is my first pair of Serenget's and I wish I had bought them sooner! I was a RayBan fan until they got rid of the brown non-polarized sunglasses. I fly for a living and these are the best sunglasses I've ever had! They give you great protection all while giving you a clear and crisp view of the glass instruments. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
