My husband purchased a pair of Ray Ban 3183 004/82 gunmetal gray mirror polarized sunglasses and received them in only 5 days - excellent service. When he tried them on, he found that they fit too loosely (he has a med/large head size) for active sports and the inside mounting brackets by the nosepads intruded into his field of vision which is very distracting. Otherwise, the quality of the product is not in question.
When I first unpackaged the glasses, the packing slip specified a 14 day return policy with a 15% restocking fee; the presence of the restocking fee would have kept me from placing the order to begin with. The only way to avoid the restocking fee was to place an order for an exchange item. I immediately contacted the seller, Sunglass Express, via e-mail to inquire about the availability of an exchange item, however, they have not responded within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, I brought this to the attention of Amazon but got absolutely no help. They simply referred me back to the seller, who I have been unable to contact.
At this point, all I want is a full refund and I am very dissatisfied with Sunglass Express, their restocking fee policy and the absence of a timely way to contact them and with the failure of Amazon to step in and assist me.

Chinese Trash - Offensive Customer ServiceJun 03, 2011

Please read this to the end. I have had Ray Bans in the past and always loved them, so I ordered this item from Sunglass Express through Amazon. Three weeks after they arrived, the left lens fell off. Only then did I notice that -- while the previous Ray Bans I have had were made in Italy -- this pair (assuming it is the genuine item) was made in China. I took them to my local optometrist to get the lens reattached. It turns out that, to do so, you need a special repair kit, and despite their repeated efforts over the last 5 weeks, they cannot get the repair kit sent to them. So, I contacted the seller's customer service. This was not easy. Ultimately, I talked to "Linda." She offered to replace the glasses IF I PAID POSTAGE BOTH WAYS. Her manner and attitude were offensive, and she was unmoved by my assertion that HER product was the problem, and I should not have to pay to have it replaced. It turns out that there is at least one online retailer who is selling comparable polarized 3183 shades, only not mirrored -- made in Italy -- twenty dollars cheaper. Live and learn.

This model of Ray-Ban is made in both China and Italy. I have a China type it is well made,sturdy constuction and has offered no problems. Givin Italys receient problems maybe the chinese version is the best choise. The Chinese version is made to Ray-Bans quality standards and has the same warranty. Feel confident in purchasing these sunglasses.

Absolutely no regrets- product quality superb-packaging meticulous and the final product...well, i prefer to let the end product speak for itself
Cheaper than retail. Amazon is definitely the way to go

Great sunglasses at an even better price. They are mirrored so people cant see your eyes and polarized so they protect your eyes from polarized light and eliminate glare. Get them but try them on at a local store first. I tried them on at Dick's first and then found the exact same model on here for half the price (literally).
