In a completely separate lab, metallurgists were toying with 425,000 watts of plasma lightning to shape X Metal, an ultra-lightweight titanium alloy. Somehow the performance fanatics and the metal heads got together and spawned a design that mixes art and science so completely, you can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. Here’s where it goes over the top: The lenses are optimized with Hydrophobic coating, a permanent shield against water sheens and a smudge-resistant barrier against skin oils and lotions. That means the unbeatable clarity of High Definition Optics (HDO®) stays razor sharp and clear, and with lens contours that maximize peripheral view, it’s a performance advantage that borders on unfair. You also get the industrial-level impact resistance and 100% UV filtering of pure Plutonite lenses, plus optional Iridium lens coatings that reduce glare and balance light transmission. The Three-Point Fit takes advantage of supple Unobtainium components, specially formulated to increase grip with sweat. Custom-engineered spring hinges add even more comfort. | | | Product Details: | | | Package Length:

My old Bolle sunglasses have been my favorite for years. However, some frame damage has caused the left lens to fall out daily. I finally became too frustrated with them, and started my sunglass research. I have always wanted titanium framed glasses, and I knew I wanted superior eye protection. I figured, I REALLY don't want to lose an eye so why not get the best? I am so glad I purchased these sunglasses. They are stunning! You can really tell that they are optically correct. Compared to my beloved Bolle's, these things were crafted for something divine! I will be sticking with Oakley for quite a while I think.
