Decent Product for the PriceJun 25, 2008
By B. Hankins I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when I first opened the box. The lenses are much more mirrored and the frames are a lighter silver color than what they appeared to be in the photo. When you put them on, the frames curve out far from the sides of the temple area, which took me some getting used to. It almost felt like I was wearing a mini hula hoop on my head. I guess the purpose is to prevent that tan line along the sides of your head when you wear them out in the sun a lot?? The other thing is that the frames are a thin, flexible, lightweight nylon, which seemed cheap to me. However, they have held up well so far. And because the frames are so light, they fit comfortably. The rubberized nose pads and temple grips do a good job at keeping the shades in place.
With regard to the price, I guess what you are paying for are the lenses. The polarized lenses give me a clear field of vision and do not distort or cause eye strain like some cheaper polarized sunglasses I have worn. That alone is worth it to me. I think most sunglasses are way overpriced anyway, but given what people are willing to shell out for shades these days, I think these sunglasses are a decent product for their price.
